I don't know about the Tractor Supply ones, but my smaller buddy heater have worked perfectly for ~5 seasons now. I don't use it very often, but it lights up quickly and easily every time that I have used it.
FYI: They make clear popup tents. That may be more helpful than a heater. Just have to be careful to prevent it from blowing away.
