Got every saw I own full of fresh gas ready to go this weekend up here in the mountains of TN. Took three of us a full day to cut our way out after last year’s ice storm. It’s nice living three miles from the highway, but there’s a price to pay.

I all used husky, but a tree trimmer in Florida put me on echo,x models only, and they are better that husky and stihl, by a long shot. Check them out before you buy

They are all good saws. Use non ethanol gas and mix red armor 2 strike oil 40:1.
Keep your chain sharp and any of those saws will perform well.
Dull chains heat up bars and burn clutches as well as seals on the clutch side.

When Hurricane Helen came through, I helped a church group go over for clean up. As said, I mostly have Husqvarna and Stihl. I bought them Echo Timberwolf saws to carry. They also carried their own Farm Boss saws. Their feedback: The Echo's cut really well, but they went through fuel much quicker and were noticeably louder. The noise level was to the point they didn't see as much use.

I bought a Stihl MS 291 to clear a lot we bought a few years back. Run Non Ethanol gas and have been very happy with it.

Went with the Husqvarna since that is what i am replacing. Know the saw enough and have had a good experience with the one I am replacing. It was a close call.

I have a commercial echo string trimmer that is a beast and has been used hard for 12+ years and still going!
I purchased two Echo blowers and both crapped out after a few years of light use, replaced carbs, coil on one and the they just weren’t worth the constant servicing for average use. Tossed both and only still blowers with no issues.

Stihl makes several models that have a crank assist. I have 4 sizes from a top handle to a fuel injected Stihl saw. I have no trouble cranking any of them but those assisted model can be cranked by wife or mother.
