82 I was earning extra points trying to push the teachers cars over the small hill in front of the school.

96 I was firefighting. Boots froze to a ladder I was on protecting exposures. We left couches and whatnot burning in the front yard to keep warm.
We left 2500 feet of hose frozen to the ground after a string of fires by a little firebug.

2014 I was lucky enough to be home when it hit. My wife was stuck at school and my son was stranded and took shelter at a publix. Eventually made his way to a friends house for a few days

I don't mind a bit of snow. But damn I hate ice storms. I've already shut the company down. No inspections after Friday evening until Tuesday morning at the earliest.

It won’t. Most ticks and bugs I’ve ever seen are in places it stays a lot colder than it will ever be here.

Damn that global warming. We need to allocate more govt funds and additioinal tax dollars towards towards the fight and addressing climate change. We need to increase our "green" energy subsidies by at least 10 fold so that we can address this critical issue of man-made temp increases!!!! Additional regulations are needed from the EPA A.S.A.P. along with more carbon credit enforcement. Trump's an ass for not addressing it and making it the top priority for his administration instead of all this immigration crap, drug wars, and trying to create a level playing field in international trade. He's an idiot for not recognizing this existential threat to humanity.

I saw a first for living in AL today. A big truck belonging to Huntsville with a huge plow on front and a salt slinger on the back. They are getting ready.

Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

That has to be a rental. I wonder where they got it from?

All you can do is get ready for it. I just brought up several days of firewood, did a test run with my generators and made sure all my gas cans were full. Wife did a big shopping trip yesterday. I really do hope nothing happens though. It makes for a very hard time for a lot of people.

I wonder if GW Bush' hurricane machine is in working order. He could make an epic contribution to this ordeal.

It looked to be an older truck that they dug out from an old storage garage somewhere. It honestly looked as if they were taking it out for a test drive to make sure it would run still. I'm not exaggerating either but am just glad they are getting prepared, if they actually need it. Maybe they were riding around for everyone to see so people will believe it might be serious.

I’ve been splitting wood all afternoon. Filled up the gas tanks. Bought 10 gallons of gas for the generators and 6 gallons of kerosene for the heater. Plenty of propane for the grills and buddy heaters.
