I have found the Foster Grant Ironman models to be pretty durable.
I have a pair of those that I like and another pair as spares. I have about a dozen pairs of cheap readers. Several in my truck, several in my home office and then a pair anywhere I might grab something to read, yes, that includes the toilet. After losing a nice, expensive pair, I've gone with the cheap ones since then.
