Anyone have recommendations for a processor near Prattville? I’m willing to drive a little if needed. We normally do our own but just checking because sometimes we get tight on time to do em ourselves.
Sorry I know there is a processor sticky above but didn’t see anything recent there.
Thanks

Lol I was just asking this from a member yesterday.
Two roads diverged in the woods and I took the one with deep ruts, hills and mud.It may be bumpy but WHAT A RIDE!

Reed's may not be closest, unless there is one nearby you may need to use the large ice chest.

I don’t mind quartering and putting on ice so I can take to the processor later. Pretty much what I do when I process them myself. I don’t mind driving a little.
I did call one processor near Selma and they were not keen on taking quartered deer. Apologies up front but I have used Ken’s a couple of times and won’t go back, the rotting deer smell was awful and just permeated everything we got from them (which is really a shame because we are only a few miles from them).
Thanks

Ken’s is terrible. I process all of my own but have used Reed’s years ago. Reed’s or Taylor’s will be your best option.

There is a big hole for a GOOD processor in A'ville and Prattville someone needs to fill. Ken's WAS good at one time now it just smells of rotten flesh badly.

I will also add Sportsmans Deer Processing on 331 south of Montgomery (Snowdoun) That is my favorite around here. On a big deer he is cheaper that Taylors on the standard cut so I can afford to add on some sausage, summer sausage, or snack sticks.

Moncriefs Deer Processing over on 4049 Redland Rd in Wetumpka does great work. You can find more info on his Facebook page.

Just picked one up from Reeds, haven’t ate any yet But pleased with what I got, hunt near Billingsley and normal processor was filled up at the moment
Dropped a head for an European at Ken’s 3 week turnaround and very pleased with the outcome
