Montgomery’s Northern suburb
Gotta disagree with you here, Prattville is pretty good most of the time
Prattville was once a very nice place due to white flight from Montgomery in the late ‘70’s and 80’s but too bad the rest of Montgomery’s fine citizens have sprawled in that direction.
Good friends son is Prattville PD. He says the modus operandi of the thugs is to steal a car in Montgomery and drive it to Prattville to steal, deal etc. If the Police chase them they ditch the car as it won’t be traced back to them.
It’s the same everywhere. White and other decent hard working people move to the suburbs to escape thuggery. Leaving only those without the means to move to populate and administer leadership in the town that is the economic engine for the whole area. In Selma they go (went) to Orrville, Sardis and Valley Grande. In Montgomery they went to Prattville, Millbrook, Wetumpka and now Taylor Road. In Birmingham they went to the “over the mountain” communities.
I’m getting the idea that doesn’t work. Hell I’m guilty of it too, I live in a small suburb of Mobile. BUT I don’t think Mobile is as bad or going as bad as quickly as the three previously mentioned. I don’t move out of Mobile to get here though.
