Just opened a pack of checks. Theres 2 books of checks in a pack now. Not long ago you got 6 books in a pack. Ordered straight from the bank. How can checks go up 3x? Same price, 3x less checks. Getting screwed every way we turn these days.

Same here. pissed me off same as you. I dont write many checks but I still write about the same amount of checks today as I did three years ago. Now I'm getting charged the same for fewer checks.

GO talk to your bank. If you don't like their answer go talk to another bank. Mine was going to charge me a service charge. They change their mind when I would go talk to another bank, I have been with mine for 40 years.

It was my second or third time to do this. It is still through Harland, the most popular check printer that most banks use so I felt relatively safe ordering them. They are nothing special to look at, I'll tell ya that but no one cares. Checks, which are somewhat obsolete now will likely be before we can get these used up!

We get two books of checks now also. Each book has 2 deposit slips and you don’t even get a new check register.lol

I write one check per year, lease dues, and I used my last one for this season. I think this checkbook lasted 10-12 years. Thanks for the reminder to order new ones. Economies of scale or just pushing to eliminate checks are my thoughts on the price increase.

Joey, was that bank, Redstone Federal CR ? They cut back to two books about a year ago  . Two books last me about 9moths to a year.

Mine are free for my personal account, but for my business account, I order from Quicken. Way cheaper. I get regular books, but I also like the ones that fit in a 3 ring binder.

I always just call them and tell them i need checks. I write atleast one a month, water bill. Everything else i pay online or autodraft. I reckon i go through a book every year or so.
