It sure was. I'd just been wrapping them in a Walmart bag and stacking them in the freezer. Took one out, left in it the bag and in to the microwave it went. Won't do that again. Two minutes max.
You may be in the market for a new microwave then...whew.
I wonder if you can get a microwave safe bowl and put some baking soda in water and heat it up and have it deodorize the inside.
