Here in marengo county at paw n law. Dont feel great about it but wanted to get out. At 4 acre field in thinned pine plantation. NNW wind absolute worst wind for clarke. Any other combination good for clarke. Clarke also more of evening spot. NNW good for where i at now

Good luck

Sitting in a tall tripod on a hill in the middle of a 40ac clear cut. Cloudy with a little NW wind. We’re starting to have quite a few bucks running around. Maybe a good one will decide to show himself today.

I shot a pretty good one about an hour ago (8:20). I shot him as he was walking across the gas line. He looked like he was hurting when he ran off, but I can’t find nothing at moment. Back in stand til I get some help.

Well I am not going today but have gone the last four. tuesday saw a “quadfecta” 8,6,4 and a spike. Thursday a darn fine 8 3 year old and one I would have shot if he gave me more than 3 seconds and yesterday a 7, two forkhirns and a big spike. Anywhere between 8 to who knows does each day. Hard to keep track when the bucks keep chasing them out of the plot. Yesterday especially the little bucks were giving the does hell.
