A 33 year old man in our community died a few days from a tree stand fall. Very sad. That’s horrible. 🙏🏻

Sextagenarian on the lease next door wrecked both ankles over some rusty climber cables this season. I even put safety lines on ladder stands. However, I notice that 99% of the time when I hunt with others, that their ladders never have them. Lot of the time they don't even have a haul rope.
I didn't watch Waddell back in the day because he's not funny.

In my teens and early twenties (35-40 yrs ago) we hunted way up in climbers and loc ons and never wore any kind of saffey harness. It’s a miracle that non of our crew got hurt

Years ago, I was at the top of a 12 foot ladder stand attempting to adjust the wratchet strap. As soon as I released the tension, it let go. As I was falling, all I thought of was I was gonna break my feet or legs. I landed on my feet, and then fell backwards. The stand missed my head by less than a foot. I layed there for a minute to see if anything was broken. When I stood up, my left knee was bad. Luckily my wheeler was close. I ended up wearing a knee brace for Month's.
I was the only one on the lease that day. Lesson learned.

Waddell got a bad name by putting his name on anything and everything whether it was a legit product or not
Put your name on a package containing a turd and when the package is opened everyone knows it’s a turd and you’re name and reputation become the products you’re promoting The funky chicken turkey decoy comes to mind

I had one i really respected and i loaded up on product. CemerDeer or what ever that product was. Guy promoted it hard! You could feed in FL and i put it out everywhich way - tried corn to help it. That product sucked balls!! Lost respect for the guy but i got over it. Who is to say it did not work for him?? Later came and did a beast feast at my church - liked the guy! Did great job and i met him! Would recommend him for any church! Liked him a lot after
