An enclosed shooting house on a cold and windy day.....is a thing of beauty. Haven't even zipped up my jacket yet. Sitting on a hilltop on a powerline overlooking a greenfield. Doe and 2 little ones came in field and didn't like it and left. I've been sitting in front of the fireplace at home all day, maybe I should've stayed. Only about 300 yds from the house so it won't take long to get back to fireplace at dark. Left the wife on fireplace duty so I hope it's still going when I get back. Hoping this wind will ease up before dark.
Freaking rats gnawed thru the cords that hold the window open so I had to cut a stick to hold the plywood flap open. Redneck engineering in action. Scrapes all over the place. This is the time of year that the strangers start showing up
