I have had both and am using a Spott Hogg right now. I like the way its built and adjustments that can be made. Pins are not the brightest to me when it gets late.
Used a HHA a couple of years and will say its a great sight too. Pins are probably brighter if compared side by side.

Go to a pro shop late in the day and take one of each brand all things equal in design as they can be, go outside or in a dark area of the building and see which one works for you.

One of these two sights or maybe the Montana Black Gold should fill you needs.

Why does Spott Hogg suck may I ask?

I got a HHA Nytrx Pro few weeks ago to put on my Lift 33X. HHA offers a discount for vets and first responders. I’ve got a HHA Tetra Max on my Lift 29.5.

The one I had was heavy, pins weren’t as bright as I’m used to to with HHA, and seemed cheap and overpriced/overhyped.

Same for several of us that hunt together for elk. We hike and bike miles per day without any issues and we put them through some nasty stuff in the thick stuff here. I also like the fact the sight tape is in your line of sight and not hidden.
My elk bow has a single pin and my whitetail bow a 3 pin.

Glad you like them. I wouldn’t use a SH if it were given to me.

I’ve used HHA, Black Gold and Spot Hogg (I have Spot Hogg Fast Eddie for sell now). All have been great sights for me. But I always seem to gravitate back to a fixed pin.

I’m currently using a Trophy Ridge Hotwire 3 pin with a floating pin. It’s an ok sight. I want to upgrade, so I came here for advice. I like the Axcel Driver and UV Slider sights but dad gum they expensive! So, I’m looking at a step down in price of those. I found the CBE Trek Pro Micro 3v. It looks to be just as capable as the higher priced sights. I am shooting a Hoyt Alpha X and want the picatinney mount. The CBE has a picatinney adapter that will work, but I don’t love that it has to be an adapter.
2 questions:
Anyone using the CBE Trek Pro Micro that can give feedback?
I am thinking of going to vertical pins. Any reason why I should not go vertical pins?
Thanks!

I had a hard time adjusting to the pins covering my targets with my Spott Hogg

I tried bringing the pin from the side to target vs up or down and just couldn't get as comfortable as with horizontal pins.

I'm old fashioned I guess.

Maybe Shaw or somebody with more range time than me with one can chime in.

Good luck. I just bought a HHA Slider 3 -pin Tetryx I believe its called. Gotta get it sighted in. Its horizontal

When shooting a multi pin sight, I never could stand to shoot vertical pins. I preferred horizontal pins so I could see between them to gap shoot. I want to see the exact spot I’m aiming at.

Go with a slider. Use to use a multi pin trophy ridge . Looked like a Christmas tree right at almost dark

Love a good hunting story, love my family and friends. Some people you can't, but acted like do.
