Mbrock - will be interested to see your full report on the saddle hunting. I’ve been considering getting one but at 57 and mostly a gun hunter now wasn’t sure how well it would work for me, I always assumed saddles were a young man’s thing mostly for bow hunting.

Would be curious to hear others experiences gun hunting out of a saddle.

I'll be 56 next month, still healthy and in shape but do have a bulging L4 disk but keep it under control with the chiropractor each month. I wanted to try Saddle Hunting before I got older and out of shape.

I've watched a lot of videos on it. I've considered as far as a platform goes, one of those platforms that work like the bottom piece of a climber and then just repelling down. Of course, a stick or two would always be needed because not all trees are good for that climber type bottom

Just my thoughts so far.
