I’ve got 4 Summit climbers but rarely use them anymore. I did hang one the other day and plan to hunt it sometime this year. Just more comfortable nowadays in a nice ladder or blind. Being comfortable in the woods is almost or maybe more important to me now than shooting something

I use them all, but I feel safer in a climber with a rail around me to lean my leg on to know where I’m standing. I love lock ons because I can zip up in one quick and quite, just don’t feel as safe

I do, but rarely. The most common use I have for a climber is going up the back side of a tree to tie off a ladder stand. I have a Goliath with no seat I use for this.

Cougar Claw for me. Lightest and safest out there. Unfortunately you can't get them currently. Same here and also depends on where I'm at and what trees are around or the woods in general. Sometimes sit on the ground looking down a road in a planted pine thicket. Been wanting to try a saddle before I get to old, maybe next year the Lord willing. Had my Cougar Claw for years, didn't know you couldn't buy them anymore. Donnie Paul passed away not long ago unfortunately.

i am 76 and still climb .i love to hunt out of a climber.i do hunt in shooting houses more often than i used to.

I have a summit viper, aluand steel. Steel is bigger and quieter.
Right now I am sitting in a millennium turkey chair with mt rifle in a Bog tripod looking at a green field. Its a little more to carry, but we shall see. At least the gun is already set up all I have to do is look thru the scope.

At 50 years old, I will hunt by whatever is needed. If all I can do is a climber I'm fine. But if I can get that old Chevrolet close, yeah next year is gonna be box....

I used to hunt out of a Summit Viper and absolutely loved it.But four years ago, I was introduced to saddle hunting.I'm 61.5 years old, and I one stick saddle hunt, and I will never go back to a regular climber. I'm in good shape and I climb and can be in my saddle for hours.I am always connected, so I am pretty safe

67 and got back to climbing this year, forgot how much fun it is, 32-36’ is my normal height, I use a millennial loc on m-100 with a shooting rail, usually add 8’ more of sticks, gets me around 25’

I was terribly wrong. It’s comfortable on the back and provides a lot of support. To answer the OP question, I use a Lone Wolf Alpha Hand Climber exclusively as a climbing stand. Won’t use anything else. It’s light, packs tight and sits like a lock-on.

For those who hunt out of a saddle how long can you sit? I routinely sit for 6 hours at a time from November to January and want to know if that's possible to be comfortable that long in a saddle.
