My studio was next door to Louisiana the Restaurant and they’d have oyster tasting in the fall and winter months. He’d have a vast selection of up and down the east and west coast along with some gulf coast oysters. Man I enjoyed those days. Also used to live on raw oysters back years ago while at the beach. It was nothing to eat 12-15 dozen while chugging beer. Of course back then they were 1.99 a dozen and the occasional .99 a dozen. At my MIL funeral her sister took us out to Goatfeathers. I tried to refuse her paying for my meal. I had 11 dozen at 14.99 a dozen and she paid. She joined in and ate 7 dozen herself.

These days I feel like I’m rolling the dice. I’ve been to some of the hole in the walls down around Appalachia cola. Honestly they were good but I didn’t think they were the greatest things.
