If you had some blood to go on it would help a lot trying to wait that long…..If he did a front flip and blew at you as he ran off there’s a good chance you did hit him at the top of the shoulders or base of the neck…..His front legs probably went dead on him while his back ones were still pushing is what caused the flip……The only good thing about it is that he’ll likely live to be shot another day I can’t go back again for a morning hunt until next week. I’ll prob hunt the same spot then slip in the bottom mid day and grid it out the best I can. Maybe I can find what the coyotes left or if he’s still alive catch him behind a hot doe lol Im sure won’t care about crossing that power line again.

Went to leave and the deer is tending a doe in the driveway about 400 yds from the first shot site. He did not make it through the 2nd shot.

We live and we learn but next time a good one drops he is getting one more round for insurance.
