I use they we have had issues in the past, not so much now, but I have camera's and can monitor them. What is frustrating is some random person comes and loads your dumpster up and you pay the overage fee.
Just a PRO TIP, it is cheaper to schedule an extra pick up rather than the overage fee.

We played that same game with biohazardous medical waste disposal as well!! A veterinarian doesn't have any medical waste.  Pretty sure a vet's office is considered a "generator of biohazardous medical waste" Biohazardous Waste Disposal and Veterinarians While doctors' offices and hospitals must diligently follow biohazardous medical waste regulations and have for decades, some veterinarian facilities and practitioners have shown a lack of vigilance in this respect. In a veterinary environment, biohazardous waste is found in as many of the types of waste produced in the care of humans. For example: Sharps – sharps such as needles and scalpels, slides, lancets and so forth can carry and transmit infectious materials in animal care scenarios just as easily as in human healthcare situations. Solid waste – veterinarians use many of the same supplies as human doctors, such as bandages, linens, towels, table draping, swabs, and surgical gauze that can also contain infected blood or body fluids from an animal. Tissue or pathological waste – veterinary offices perform tissue biopsies, surgeries, and amputations, just as human physicians do, and such waste must be properly disposed of to prevent infection risks. Review the regulations of the Environmental Protection Agency’s Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) regarding hazardous waste. If your veterinary facility or practice produces biohazardous waste, you must comply with the Standards Applicable to Generators of Hazardous Waste found in Part 262 of Title 40 of the Code of Federal Regulations or CFR. It doesn’t matter if biohazardous waste comes from humans or animals – it must be disposed of safely and properly. Know the federal and state regulations for veterinary practices. You might be surprised to learn just how many agencies are involved in your animal waste! They include: Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) Department of Transportation (DOT) The American Veterinary Medical Association offers additional information regarding both federal and state regulatory guidance for animal wastes. Be aware that OSHA’s Bloodborne Pathogen Standards are just as applicable to veterinary facilities as they are for hospitals and doctor’s offices. WM is the worst of the worst. They jumped my bill from a $1,000 per month, which is already a rip-off to $1,300 per month for one dumpster, emptied, twice a week. I went with another company for 300 per month, same service. On another apartment complex I have, WM bill was around 400 per month, but if it was filled up to where the lid wouldn't completely close, then it automatically went to a minimum of $800 per month plus the overage charge, extra environmental fees,etcand everything else.So a typical $400 per month , dumpster bill, was over a thousand dollars per month. Waste management are absolute crooks.

I have a dumpster at my office that is serviced by Waste Management. After seeing some things about WM scamming customers by charging overage fees, I dug into our invoices, and was shocked. My December dumpster bill, for a 1/2 dumpster picked up weekly, was $707. I called my cousin whos business has a bigger dumpster picked up twice weekly, and his was like $300 a month from a local company. Office manager calls this local service, and they quote us $145 a month, same weekly service. After 3 days of trying to get in touch with WM, finally get a response that I am under contract until June 2026, and I would need to fill out a bunch of paperwork requesting discontinuation of service. I asked them to provide me copies of any contract they have for my business, because in 6 years of me owning it, I haven't signed any agreement with them. They started waffling, and eventually said they were authorized to price match the $145 I was quoted by the local company. Seems awful shady business practices. I’d tell them to phuck off and go with the local company. They waffled because they don’t have a contract. Anyone needs this type service in/around Birmingham let me know. I have great connections and can make it happen for you.

Many years ago, WM bought the hazardous waste disposal facility from the original ownership group. They were paid a lump sum and were to be paid royalties for future materials disposed at the facility for several years thereafter. These royalties were millions of dollars. After a period of time WM stopped paying them and the original owners sued in federal Court. During discovery, the plaintiffs found a smoking gun in the form of an internal memo. WM had been trying to figure out how to stop paying millions to these guys and they literally decided to just stop paying them and put this on paper. Shockingly, WM lost bigly in court...

Well WM 3 emailed me today with a quote for their "updated" pricing, and by moving forward with it I agree to a one year contract. In the fine print, it does state that if you don't notify two months ahead of your "contract" date, it automatically renews upon receipt of the invoice, which I have on auto draft on a business card. Gonna figure it out, but not tonight since I took off tomorrow and in Navarre Beach for the weekend. Dixiepat PM me your sons contact if you will, be shocked if I didn't know him or he's not the one I got a quote from. Ready to send waste management down the road. I used to have a problem with folks loaded my dumpster up til over filling. I asked WM about a lock, and they quoted me a price for locked service that was ridiculous. I asked about putting my own lock on it and they said they would charge a fee if they couldn't get in it', and I couldn't provide a private lock key to their driver, had to be through them. Put on some surgical gloves one day and dug through the trash til I got a bill with an address. Pulled all 9 sacks of trash out of the dumpster and went and put them on the porch of the address and knocked on the door and said return to sender.
