He should have shot a tire or something, not her. Noem says this same cop was drug by a car sometime earlier who tried to run over him. That might help him a little. There were alot of people there harrassing the cops. Thats part of what caused this. If the lady would have followed instructions, she would be alive right now. Theres plenty of blame to pass around on this. Nobody did the right thing.
Mr. Joey, have you ever heard of tunnel vision? It’s a real thing. In certain situations, tunnel vision kicks in and you see, hear and only know that one situation at hand. I’d just about bet everything that when that agent was impacted by that vehicle, tunnel vision set in and the only thing he knew to do at that time was to follow his training. We are trained to make it home at all cost. We’re trained to terminate the threat against us or anyone else around us. We’re not testing shoot tires. We do not fire warning shots. Only to eliminate the threat. Being hit by a 4000lb weapon is a very serious threat. I’ve had tunnel vision only twice so far in my 25yrs. I thank my Savior every day that the situation didn’t escalate to deadly force but both times is a blurr. I do remember being totally exhausted after the fact. I do agree the situation is bad for everyone involved. A person is dead and a person has to live with taking that person’s life. Just sucks all the way around.

This is real. Imagine the adrenalin dump this guy had to have going on. He has some dumb karen shadowing him all day long, her wife is filming and yelling, and he is just trying to do his job. THen when they have had enough, and the take action to take her into custody, she doesn't comply and tries to run him over. They get attacked and assaulted every day, and nothing happens to the attackers.
