I do agree that these corporations should not be buying single family residences. However, this ban will do nothing to reduce current home prices. They are not going to force them to sell their current properties, just ban them from future purchases.
The housing crisis is a direct result of our government, including Trump, handing out trillions of dollars during the pandemic. The final death nail was Biden adding an extra couple trillion to what Trump had already done. These actions inflated all asset prices and the resulting inflation caused interest rates to rise.
