Yep. All 80,000 can become rich, over night, and the existing govt will be out. The existing govt heads are fighting to keep that vote from happening because every politician loves the power and perks of being in office and wielding that power over the people. Rumor is, that if the vote is allowed to happen, it’s a slam dunk and we add a new state.

I’ve got to research the turkey hunting up there. Maybe Chuck didn’t destroy their season Not sure about the turkey but it’s loaded with natural resources. Oil, gas, gold and an absolute pile of rare earth minerals, all virtually untapped.

I dont know if 80k is enough to become a state? They may just have to be a territory for a while. Yeah , to put that # in perspective , Wyoming is the least populated state with right around 600,000. 80k won't even fill most football stadiums.

The residents of Greenland can vote to leave the protection of Denmark and either become an independent country or join another country. Its in their constitution. And exactly how much security could Denmark really provide? The Cajun Navy to defeat them with just pirogues and a couple of air boats.

Path to Independence: Greenland can declare independence through a referendum, but this would require Danish parliamentary consent
