It has been 100% reliable for us

Sit outside? Who are you kidding? That’s just another excuse for you to start building another project.  Yeah... If I was buying it for the Mountain House that's what I would do, build a little garage for it. This is going to be for the beach house and the HOA seems to be pretty strict about "outbuildings." It appears that everyone else that has one in the development just parks them outside with a cover on them. This is why I'm not to worked up about getting a fancy one. I just need it to ride Mrs. Irish and I about a half mile out to the beach for fishing, walking for exercise, chilling... And maybe riding around the neighborhood with our afternoon cocktails. I'm thinking about mounting a solar panel to the roof and use it to keep the batteries topped up. Should be plenty of sun in Fort Morgan to do that.

Go hear and learn everything you want to know Buggies Gone WildI've been using one for a hunting buggie since 2012. I would recomend getting an older model Series Cart. Much Simpiler to work on, maintain and upgrade. The older EZGO TXT series models are like the small block chevy of the golf cart world, easy to work on and huge aftermarket support. I'd find one of those and not worry about the batteries. The battery tray is going to be rusted to crap on any of them that had lead acid batteries. Don't worry about that as you can get a replacement aluminum one off of ebay for $50, you really won't even need one when you convert to lithium. Just make sure the cart frame is not rusted through and the platic body is not beat up. I converted mine to Lithium 3 years ago and it was a game changer, and the price keeps coming down. I spent $1,200 on just the batteries then and now you can get a whole kit in the $700's. Kit 1Kit option 2Order some 2ga welding cable and ends off of Amazon and a crimper from Harbor Freight and you can build you own cables for cheap. If you plan on lifting it and tires the only other nessisary upgrade is to the controller. You will want to upgrad to a higher amp controler to handle the extra power needs. I know his website is genearic but this guy is an electric cart guru and he has pretty good pricing on controlers Carts Unlimitedafter that it's never ending, you can get high torque or high speed motors. Lift and tires are easy. A can of adhesion promoter and some spray paint and a paint job is easy. Could go on and on. Always solder the cables. I soldered every electrical connection on mine just because of the salt air everything electrical corrodes. I cover everything under the seat with plastic also.

We drove down to Gadsden yesterday and visited Gadsden Golf Carts. Wow! That place has a literal sea of golf carts. Turns out the salesman there used to work at the motorcycle shop in Gadsden and has a huge collection of motorcycles and is a long time rider like me. We talked motorcycles until Mrs. Irish about went into a coma. I've been shopping on Facebook Marketplace for a used cart, and I was surprised that Gadsden Golf Carts seemed to have better prices and nicer, later model, carts than individuals selling on Facebook. We really liked a 2022 Yamaha cart in silver with a roof, rear seat, lights, blinkers, etc... That looks and feels new. It was listed at $3800. The yamahas are slower with a little less torque from my experience. I would go ezgo or club car if you can find one that meets your needs. you will deff want to lift one being as that you will be using it to haul beach gear around. the lift will give you some more ground clearance with the additional weight. i can load mine up with around 400 lbs on the rear with two people up front and still have enough ground clearance to navigate the terrain around my hunting club.

Is this a good deal? We both like this one. It's fairly new and has brand new batteries, lift kit, rear seat kit, upgraded wheels and tires, stored indoors and well taken care of. Excellent condition. $3400 cash. We both drove it and it drives good. Most importantly, Mrs. Irish likes the looks of it. how "brand new" are the batteries? Is there a receipt/invoice for them? Is there a warranty from the place that sold/installed them? What brand are they and is it 36 or 48v? and are they 12v batteries or 6/8v? (example, the consensus is that 6x8v is better than 4x12v in terms of longevity, even though both = 48v)
I would say if it's 48v (6x8v) and they truly are "brand new" name brand batteries, then yes $3400 would be a good deal (at least based on prices around here)

Check the frame and battery compartment for corrosion.
Sometimes it’s hard to see with the batteries installed.

Sometimes it’s hard to see with the batteries installed. I checked all that. It has been stored in a garage and only used on the golf course at Gadsden Country Club.
