I think you’ve really hit on something James. The 4000 combined people in Wilcox, Dallas, Marengo, and Clarke counties that have been reporting since the beginning are probably still killing the same amount of deer and still reporting them just like they have been. The other 10,000 people hunting in those counties that were not reporting their kills are still killing the same number of deer and still not reporting them, so it appears on the charts that the harvest rates appear to be almost perfectly stable year to year. Half the Locals hunting in those counties probably don’t even have a hunting license. Most in those counties aren’t super tech savy and certainly are not up to date on game laws other than when the season opens and when it closes, which doesn’t really matter because a whole bunch of people just hunt when the urge hits them. Sometimes before the official start, sometimes after, and sometimes even at night. Lol.
Yeah hell i remember sitting in the tree at Camp during early Bow season and hearing Boom, Boom, Powwww, (sounded like old episode of Batman) in the evenings 🤣 I finally said piss on it and tossed the bow down! Ironically Ol' Green Jeans NEVER showed up during those times! Damn sure would later in season though 😏 But yeah back to the DISCUSSION at hand! Daggum Yanks are killing all the damn deer by Gawd 😤
