We had a 6 buck limit here in Louisiana for as long as I could remember until hurricane Rita came through. We never ran out of bucks. Back in the day we had a competition to see who could kill the 6 biggest bucks every season. And we didn’t/don’t have the deer population Alabama has. Certain areas may but not statewide.
