Take everything you read on here with a healthy grain of salt. This place is full of a bunch of internet blowhards who want you impress you and make you think they are "insiders" and posses some kind of special knowledge or insider information. They are not and they don't. It's just a bunch of bullshit.

None of that is to say that there is not shit going on behind the scenes when the government tells you something or does something. There certainly is shit going on behind the scenes. Rarely is anything we see exactly as it seems.

Those two will kind of get you started into learning about the lengths our own government will go to to protect "our" interests in the World and attempt to maintain the balance of power. Beware though it's some crazy shit we have done and continue to do. And a warning if you are this "Rah Rah, go America" type person, you are going to learn about some seriously bad shit that we have done to maintain our place in the World.

I'm a naturally an upbeat kind of person, so I have taken what I have learned from books like these and compartmentalized it with the knowledge that sometimes good people have to do really bad things to ensure the future of other good people. None of that is to say that there have not been bad people in service of the US, because there certainly has been that too.

So, you want to belittle Aldeerians with an opinion calling them blowhards and turn around and quote a writer and past editor of the San Francisco Times as fact, gotcha, pass the salt.
