He was making $9mm at Miss vs $13mm now. He could’ve talked Ole Miss into more. So it wasn’t really about money. It was about winning. But his old team is the one doing the winning. It makes no sense. A 50% raise tells me it WAS about the money. Would you turn down a 50% raise to leave your current employer and stay in the same business at another location?

Ole Miss was going to match. It's because LSU is a bigger brand and he's a lazy ass recruiter so LSU would make his job easier. Golding and other assistants have been the driver of recruiting at Ole Miss, not special K. That is already becoming apparent by what is happening in the portal. On top of that, Kiffin replaced Frank Wilson with Kevin Smith because he thought that would guarantee Lacy would follow to LSU. Ole Miss hired Wilson who dominates LA recruiting, and Lacy is coming back to Oxford next year. Corndogs are definitely having second thoughts tonight

I get contacted by recruiters all the time with jobs that would pay me 30-50% more. All I have to do is move to Atlanta, Charlotte or South Florida....
