N2TRKYS - I never disagreed with you that the 7mm-08 is a fine caliber. It is one of about 20 different calibers that my wife and I have killed critters with, and I actually recommended it on the first page of this thread. I have bought several 7mm-08 rifles as gifts for young folks as their first deer rifle, and the first whitetail I shot this year died from a 120 grain Barnes TTSX out of my integrally suppressed 7mm-08. 7mm-08 is also the caliber that I recommend for any new hunter who might only buy one rifle.

It is not, however, the equal of the 280 Ackley, the 7mm Backcountry, the 7mm Rem Mag, the 7mm RUM, or even the 7mm PRC.

My attraction to the 7mm Backcountry is that it will do everything that a 280 Ackley or 7mm Rem Mag will do, but it will do it with a 16" barrel. Therefore, I will be buying one soon. If I am pleased with it, it will stay here until I am gone. If not, I'll sell it and all the ammo that I have for it, as I have done with other rifles/calibers in the past. It will likely never be fired without a suppressor, unless I decide to do so as a recoil comparison.

I'm not exactly sure why this offends you, or caused you to argue with me or others regarding our statements about this new cartridge.
