Suppressors act like muzzle brakes somewhat. They're also a sginificant weight on the end of the barrel, limiting muzzle rise and overall recoil by adding mass and inertia. A suppressor plus a heavy low light scope makes 308-class deer rifles tame down considerably. My 25 WSSM is like shooting a 22lr. I suppose any 120gr 6.5CM or 7mm08 would be similar, but I haven't tried it. I do intend to try it with .308 130gr. Those 130 grain barnes in a 308 are amazing for what 99%of us do in alabama Yes they are. I’ve killed quite a few deer in Alabama with them and whitetail and Axis in Texas. Several hogs and deer here at home. Same results. If they ran it wasn’t far and blood everywhere. Most dropped right there.
