Suppressors act like muzzle brakes somewhat. They're also a sginificant weight on the end of the barrel, limiting muzzle rise and overall recoil by adding mass and inertia. A suppressor plus a heavy low light scope makes 308-class deer rifles tame down considerably. My 25 WSSM is like shooting a 22lr. I suppose any 120gr 6.5CM or 7mm08 would be similar, but I haven't tried it. I do intend to try it with .308 130gr.
