Pretty cool interaction caught on camera......This is the ultimate fate for 99% of leg shot or crippled up deer.....That yote will harass that buck until he wears him down or some of the yotes buddies join in......

Shot was on a quartering to angle with a .243……Deer ran into some thick understory and didn’t leave but two spots of blood at the hit site……Quick two minute recovery about 100-150 yards away

Been one of them kinda evenings.......and dont even have a deer to show for it.....

That sucks

We was able to recover 2 yesterday. First was a shoulder shot with subsonic 300 blackout. Took a little while to get him to stop. Second wasn’t a bad shot just didn’t bleed and went into a briar thicket about 50 yards

Well sometimes you get lucky…….Just got a text that the neighbor found him dead this morning……He dang sure wasn’t last night… ….I think the hunter said he was shooting a 6mm…….Quartering away shot……Entry on the shoulder and exit out the base of the neck

Have not posted many recoveries, think we are up to 26, but thought this one was worth the typing...

Went to track one Friday night on public land. Was shot midday with a bow and had tracked good blood for 60 yds or so. He had a friend bring a young pup in because the shot didn’t look extremely bad (looked to be possibly liver/lung). They searched with no luck.

We arrived and dogs went to work. We located his first bed about 150 yds from shot site. 1200 yds later we jumped the buck up. At this point it had been 10 hours and he was headed towards a deep creek and if he crossed we were done. We decided to back out, give it some more time and go back the next day.

I arrived Saturday about noon and put the dogs back on it. We worked another 500 yds to find the buck right at the creek, still alive 25 hours after the shot). He had just enough energy to get up and charge. He knocked me down, I grabbed his antler and we had a wresting match. I eventually won and luckily just ended up with a couple cuts and a bruised leg.

Nice job fellas, I'll probably just drop some pictures without stories. Been busy tracking the last few days. Tracked for a Chinese man yesterday that had just came over legally and got his hunting license. Was a awesome experience I'll never forget. Wish I'd of recorded that phone conversation just for laughs and memories.

This one started out tough but we finally worked our way through it and sorted things out…..The deer ran down the clubs interior road and almost ran right by the community parking spot where it crossed the black top and died about 100 yards inside the woods across the road…..Total distance from the hit site was 300 ish yards……The shot was on a quartering to angle hit way back in the guts……

Gotta another one we're gonna go try in the morning.......Plantation caretaker called and said a young girl had shot one this afternoon and he believes hit it in the leg......Its someone I've tracked a bunch for in the past so I didnt ask a bunch of details.....We'll see what we can do with it in the morning.

I got wind of some rumors that some tracking laws may be put in place, what are yall tracker's opinion on that?

Some of the law changes I heard were - dog limits on tracks, dogs must be certified via ABTA, only pistols at night. I think there is more but can't remember them all.

I was told it was coming through a new association of some trackers that had been in contact with government reps.

I worry when government gets involved with things it usually doesn't end well. I support what yall do 100%. There is no telling how many thousands of deer have been lost without dogs.

I’m not sure how you’re going to tell others that their dog has to be certified through a dog and pony show in order to track a deer for someone……. Are you really going to fine anyone who’s dog isnt on the list if they go find a deer?? Hopefully the powers that be will make good decisions on this one

Turned out to be a low gut shot.......You cant see in this pic but his guts were hanging out the bottom of his belly......He was still alive this morning......We fixed that though.....

Nice…. Got your moneys worth out of those. My uncles farm had retired boot turned upside down on fence post. I guess he still does it. He’s been doing it for years.

Went and checked one this morning for a young hunter that was likely brisket hit......Shot on a fairly steep quartering away angle......We found his bed about 300-400 yards from the hit site with blood in it 4 hrs after the shot but he was already up and runnning ahead of us when we got there and he never checked up

We recovered a gut shot for a kid this morning then went and checked out a possible brisket shot or maybe just a graze. Not real sure but it took about a mile to catch up to him then he smoked the dogs

Certifying .org provides licensing process that .gov can tax. .org gets a fee. Happens all the time. It's the sort of thing that makes some people want to punch .org's teeth out.

Recovered a pretty nice 8 pt today......Gut shot with a bow from yesterday evening.....
