A chamber vacuum sealer is a whole new world. Previously, I always used the best freezer paper made (I once worked in a paper converting plant), but most of what I do from now on will be in heavy vac bags.

I used plastic wrap and freezer paper for years. It works just fine. But if you want to afford a vacuum sealer, it works better. It's not a necessity.
