Yep, I've been there during this time of year, it is awful. It left a very bad taste in my mouth. I don't think NY city is that bad.

I was able to run the NY marathon after walking up and down those sidewalks in Gatlinburg for a week. Walking Pigeon forge forget that. I like the crowds lots of and lots honeys oin yoga pants and leggings.... ouuuu wee.

went the first week of December and Gatlinburg was a ghost town, alot of places were closed because not enough customers. Pigeon forge was the same but it's more for 12yr olds.

My wife and I are headed up to Townsend, Wednesday through Friday. Hope it's not as bad there. Townsend isn't usually bad at all unless you take a ride into Cade's Cove, G-burg or PF.

Townsend is very low key. Not much there though. They do have a great fly shop. Beautiful place to hang out and rest.

Last time i was there was 35 years ago. From what I hear I dont want any part of it. I guess most of those people going up live in the city and sb divisions. Im already in the country been to Cades cove nice back then. I see deer every day it my front and got property in country dont care for that.
