The cheapest part of owning a bird dog is the purchase price. Healthy, well bred pups are always worth the cost. Food, heartworm meds, vet bills will be a continual expense. Birds, training grounds, e-collar, check cords and all the other items needed to train a dog. If you “send it to school” expect to spend $800 a month.
