Hey guys. This is a petition from Black Warrior River Keepers to limit Tysons discharge into the Locust Fork. Several years ago, Tyson wanted to increase their discharge and the petition stopped it. Please take the time to sign and share, if you care about our rivers and wildlife. Alabama doesn't regulate them as much as other states do.

Well, I signed it and then went to check out the group that is behind the 'network' pushing it. VERY liberal leftists. It's a good thing to want that river kept as clean as possible. It's a better thing if a local group founded in real conservation can get behind it.

Ate you referring to Black Warrior River Keepers? If so, there are some really good people in that organization. Some leftist too, but I've hung out with them and never had an issue. My wife is actually on the board of Alabama River Alliance. They know where we stand politically and are very accepting. We don't even discuss politics much. The sad part, it's really hard to find conservatives who are willing to get behind an environmental push. It's sad there's such a spilt. You would think that as outdoorsman, we would be more inclined than anyone to do something.

Wiley, i know alot of these people. Theyre customers of mine. Theyre some of the best people i know. Ive never brought up politics with them. I assume every one of them are democrats. Nevertheless, theyre good folks. Theyve never tried to push anything on me. I always try to take time to talk to people like them when im working for them. Their ways of thinking about alot of things is a little different than most but i dont know that its a bad kind of different. I reckon there is good and bad in all people. I can tell you this, ive known this group of folks for several years and the world is better with them in it. I wont defend their political views, to be honest, i dont know for sure, i just assume i know. I choose to look past tgat. I know some people cant do that and i understand that.

I wasn't referencing the Black Warrior River Keepers but there's a link there for a very liberal group that may be involved in the background. It seems that anything environmental is gonna be tagged by the Left. Like I said, I signed and I'm glad to do so and I hope the petition serves it's purpose. I was mostly pointing out that one might oughta keep an eye on influencers in the background.

Adem might very well keep a close eye on "these things". That very well might e the case. That statement implies Adem is on our side, looking out for our best interests. That implication is false. Adem is not the friend of Wethepeople. Not at all.

I was wondering about whether they are exceeding their permit or not too?

I looked at a map to see if I could get an idea of the concerns since I am not from the area, nor familiar with it.

Tyson wants to increase their discharge from what it currently is thus adding more pollution to the river. The petition is to provide a voice against increased discharge/pollution.

And the fact of the matter is, Tysoncan put as much pollution in the river as they would like to, but their is a cost. What they want is to break the current agreement without paying the fine. So, heres the problem. 0 pollution in our river should be the goal. But Adem controls the ammount of pollution allowed. Thats kinda like the cops being the judge of how many times the bully is allowed to punch you in the face. Our rivers are being destroyed, thats a fact. Adems job is to control how fast it can be destroyed and what it costs to be destroyed. And if a complaint is made, theyll call the people breaking the law and let them.know theyll be out there in a week or so to check it out. Its a pretty bad dog and pony show meant to give Wethepeople the false sense that we are being watched over and taken care of. Were being conned and paying them to con us. Just another govt agency doing a great job protecting us

Preserving the natural earth is something that shouldn't be a political issue, but it is.

The biggest issue i see is that the wackos want to remove man as a variable in the equation. We are part of nature and we have to consume the earth's resources for the survival of the species. The wackos want to add to the ever increasing demand on our power resources while trying to eliminate proven ways to generate electricity. Data centers suck up power like a sponge, electric vehicles add to an overburdened and outdated electrical grid, and many other examples.

We are part of nature and need to find ways to balance our consumption with preservation.
