Well, I signed it and then went to check out the group that is behind the 'network' pushing it. VERY liberal leftists. It's a good thing to want that river kept as clean as possible. It's a better thing if a local group founded in real conservation can get behind it.
Ate you referring to Black Warrior River Keepers? If so, there are some really good people in that organization. Some leftist too, but I've hung out with them and never had an issue. My wife is actually on the board of Alabama River Alliance. They know where we stand politically and are very accepting. We don't even discuss politics much. The sad part, it's really hard to find conservatives who are willing to get behind an environmental push. It's sad there's such a spilt. You would think that as outdoorsman, we would be more inclined than anyone to do something.
