So with DJI drones getting banned......what brand is going to be available in the US now??......I'm still holding out on investing in one until this all shakes out

What’s up with the ban? Got a buddy who just bought one. He flew it over his neighbors house and sent him a video of what he was cooking on the grill. It’s crazy what it will do.

Don't worry, the suppliers are sitting on enough inventory to last another year. By then something new will come along.

They are not letting any new technology or new models of drones from other countries. If a model of drone has already been approved then they will still be available to purchase. As said above, from what I understand is there is a tremendous stock of drones available.

Got it. My buddy paid around 10,000 for his. It’s amazing what it will do. He follows some deer around his house every night

Is there an American made company that is gonna take the place of DJI??

There’s a guy on TikTok that has one and it’s amazing. Does thermal and can even light them up to actually see them. I think it’s a great tool to recover or determine if it’s lethal without running it out of the country. They can monitor easily in real time to see if deer gonna make it if not dead. It can be abused but that’s just part of technology cause everything with a good use can be used for bad. For the purpose of recovering I think it’s a good advancement.

No American company makes a thermal drone that even comes close to DJI. The market is there so you will see someone get into upgrading their technology to match DJI.

I feel like an old man on this one that hates to see change.......Its extremely cool but its just taking something away from "hunting".....I think we'll regret all of this in the long run.....The easier you make something the less rewarding it becomes to accomplish.....

There are several, that are up and coming but for the money dji still has it. I have one for my rea estate business, and for what they are.. they are unreal

Maybe so I’m no expert on it but it’s just like the iPhone it’s out of the box now and ain’t no putting it back so u either adapt or get left behind. That’s just how it is now with new technology.

Nope! Federal regulations make it impossible to build a drone for the retail market in the US.

I agree. I know a few people using them for hunting purposes.
I’ve been watching YouTube videos about hunting scrapelines and such. I’ve become lazy myself with cameras, feeders and food plots. Not hunting like I used to do. Was thinking about all of this yesterday. Thinking about my last years going back to how I used to do it.

Bingo. The federal government can’t get out of its own way.

I said it before on here. The only experience I have was when when we were looking for a missing boater one night with our thermal drone. I made the comment to the operator that with that drone, a .22 with a surpressor and a pirogue I could wipe out the population of deer along that river we were on. I had no idea how many deer bedded on the edge of that river. It was crazy.

I guess the next thing if its not already being done will be getting a drone survey before buying hunting land like getting a home inspection done

And the state has yet to use drone or uav technology to survey for a baseline statewide deer population.

There are a few. I purchased one from BestBuy last week but haven't used it yet. I needed a backup. I'll try to post the company name when I get a moment.

I repair my own when possible, we have crashes here and there. So I have a few spare parts and part out some others. My biggest worry is finding parts for anything.

DJI are easy to get parts for since they've been established so long.
