Thats all true ABolt. But the big schools in the Big 10 like OSU have been competing against the SEC for the best talent and getting those players. There's not a talent gap like there used to be.
OSU is a football factory with a huge NIL budgets and is the top program in the country along with Georgia.
Now we have Cignetti at Indiana who is Saban reincarnated. If Indiana stays committed to football with $$$, they will be a new powerhouse as long as he's there.
Oregon will always be competitive in conference and nationally because of the unlimited resources of Nike.
If Michigan can get their shit together they are a huge school with a lot of resources
Penn State is getting a lot of $$$ so they could be back soon.
Beyond those teams, it's a big drop to the next tier.
The SEC is basically a 6 team league right now. Alabama, Georgia, Texas, Tennessee, ATM and LSU. Yeah, I left Ole Pizz off because they won't be the same without Kiffin. And Vanderbilt will experience life after Pavia next year and its gonna be a big dose of reality. The next 6 teams can beat any of the top 6 any given Saturday if the top team doesn't show up. Thats the difference in the conferences because the second tier Big 10 teams rarely can compete with the top schools. Illinois thought they had a decent team this year and the Hoosiers stomped them.
