It's illegal and it's pirating tv channels. When these were very popular a while back the tv companies found a way to pick up whatever signal it emits and began suing the users.
Satellite companies zapped the cards that was in the box . Dish and Direct figured out a way to stop people from programing the cards in them . They finally upgraded all the cards . Cards they use now if you can break them you could rob a bank blind . Lol
