cignetti is a good coach. the core of this indiana team is made up of 18 JMU players he brought with him. he has done very well in the Big 10. yet. yet. we saw how well jmu did against oregon. bama is so stinking erratic with all of those 4 and 5 star NIL players who still aren't sure about 100 percent commitment to effort. i figure cignetti's core and his fine QB can hold up for four quarters against mama's first 20-minutes team. but if bama leaves erratic behavior at home ...
Cignetti went to Oregon with his JMU players earlier this year and whipped the Ducks.
They won the game but I wouldnt say they whipped the Ducks. Evenly matched game. I think it was pretty much tied up until about 5 min left in the 4th qtr. I also question if Oregon and OSU are as good as people give them credit for being. Ohio State played just 3 ranked teams this year. Texas (they blow hot sometime but most of the year were ice cold), Michigan (who sucks) and Indiana. That's it. Everyone else on the schedule was cannon fodder and weak as well water. OSU has not been tested in any way this year. Indiana played an even weaker schedule that OSU. Just 2 ranked teams Oregon and OSU. The only "quality wins" for these teams are when they play each other. Not a robust sample for determining overall strength IMO.
