Indiana only had two big games all year and barely beat penn state and Iowa. Not convinced of their greatness. They are the media darlings this year and ranked number one so have all the pressure on them. As bad as Bama looked in the first half they are a dangerous team and can put.up points in a hurry. I am still not sold on DeBoer but a win in this one would silence some.critics.for sure. I don't think Ohio State is as good as advertised either and pick the dawgs to win it all as I think they are the toughest and most.physical team. If Bama smacks Indy in the mouth and gets up a couple scores I bet they panic. Beating cupcakes all year doesn't help you when you get in a fistfight.
An interesting thing that most people are not considering...
Indiana and their coach have ZERO Playoff experience. Alabama and coach DeBoer do. That may be a big factor, and it may not, but I would think that big game, playoff experience would be a plus on Alabama's side. Losing to georgia and still making it in the playoff and then winning last night, Alabama is playing on house money now. They have already exceeded expectations.
Alabama has been playing for their life for the past several games. Indiana on the other hand has been listening to the "Rat Poison" about how great they are all season. Remember back in 1992 when Miami was the greatest football team ever and Alabama was just a bunch of blue collar guys who tried really hard? Remember what happened to Miami?
Alabama is used to this pressure. Indiana is not. This may be a factor in the game and it may not, but after what happened last night, I'll take Alabama's chances in this game.
good points. That ala Miami was a classic punch the punks in the mouth game and shut them up. Brother Oliver put on a defensive coaching clinic that day 😊
