And I'm terrible at tracking.

Thats why I like to drop em where they stand. If they dont drop where they stand they're dead within 20-50 yards. Did back slap one three years ago though he was still alive the next day when we brought in a dog. Other than that I haven't blood trailed a deer in 10+ years.

What’s the secret to not having to track them? I would like for them to run about 10 yards and then pile up. I hate getting blood in my corn pile. But what I hate worse is tracking them.



I think there was a thread on here last year, saying head shooting them is the correct answer, to your question!
