Only had a couple of hunts I didn’t see deer. Won’t be long it’s going to be time to start looking for those faint side trails with the several sets of bigger tracks on them and start hunting that. That’s the trail those roaming bucks use. It’s more fun going back to my old ways of hunting. Staring at a corn pile gets boring. Yep Marsh, this is the way we did it when deer hunting was meaningful and almost had that magic feeling to it. I can remember the nerves start just hearing steps approaching. I, like many, have probably lost some of the woodsmanship I relied on in the 80’s but you are doing it right
