Setting up between food sources and bedding. Creek crossings, clear cuts and historical trails. Only had a couple of hunts I didn’t see deer. I’ve been killing them like this for years, never stopped hunting this way.

I mostly let the other guys feed em and kill them in the woods coming or going to where they want to be.

It’s very effective. woodsmanship and ground hunting is becoming a lost art in many circles

Everybody has been griping all season about not having deer on their cameras and feeders. I’ve been seeing plenty of deer. Killed plenty of deer. It’s because I got out there and hunted. Those deer are quite easy to kill in daylight when you’re not sitting over bait. They move ALL around it browsing on everything else. Killing them over bait is easy too in some areas. VERY easy. Depends on pressure and surrounding habitat.
