They can't outlaw someone running surveillance cameras on their own property. It will never happen and its unconstitutional. Perhaps they could make another unenforceable rule that you aren't allowed to hunt within X distance of a camera. That would be fine with me. My cameras are in random places and I could easily move them out of sight of any stand.

Corn piles have led to the death of more bucks than cameras ever will. They also spread disease among wildlife, encourage unhealthy nest predator populations and are just cringy in general. Surely there aren't that many people monitoring a corn pile and just waiting for a buck to show up so they can slip in there and snipe him. If so, that is a human problem, not a camera problem.

Why do I have to only shoot the bucks you want me to shoot? Everyone is not a trophy hunter. Down this way it's hard to grow a huge buck when all he has to eat is the tops out of pine sapling.

Self control

Had more than my share of mature in Clarke last few years. Been while since i killed 3 and i hav passed a few mature over last 3-5 years - never killed them either once i did that. Fortunate to watch some same deer every year in clarke - got 5 good deer back from last year and 4 mature (5 or bettr) on 256 and i think i will hav another show up

Just got thrown another curve ball - may hunt even less now than expected and i already missed first 5 weeks counting muzzy

Matter of fact, so is adding another “rule” or “law” when they can’t or don’t enforce the ones already on the books.
If you think using real time electronic information to aid in the take of a game animal is communist then we have two completely different views on conservation and ethics. There’s nothing communists about that. At some point you have to realize that hunting is hunting. Humans already have the advantage and how far do we take it before we realize it’s not best for the promotion of the sport?

I never said that.

The government passing egregious laws that limit my freedoms on my property pretty much defines communism.

I have several cell cameras on my properties that are strictly for security and really like having my “real time surveillance”.
Your scenario would make me an “ outlaw”

I also have multiple cell cameras monitoring feed sites and not once have I used it to kill an animal.
The advantage those cell cameras give me is minimizing pressure on my properties since I don’t have to visit frequently to check cameras.

It’s the same principle as New York, and other cities, banning firearms for responsible citizens because the animals in the cities only use guns for violence and crime.

No to the 2 buck rule. No to the banning cell cameras, that’s just dumb. Agree on doing away with the baiting fee. It should be free to do during all seasons, whether it’s poured out of a bag or planted.

Hell, why stop there? Ban food plots. Ban the centerfire rifle.

And let’s ban habitat improvement tactics. Ban controlled burns.

See, this game is easy. The best two bucks ive ever killed were never captured on cameras. Cell cameras aren't some magic bullet.

So I assume you are making a poor attempt to use the debate principle of the extension fallacy. Taking the reasonable to the absurd.

Im seriously thinking about next season no corn or cameras for me. Just be surprised at whatever comes by. Like the good ol days.

Without corn and cell cameras some "hunters" couldn't kill a deer to save their lives. Kinda sad actually.

Thing i hav liked about the camera and corn

Cam:
- Can keep watch on place for dick head poachers
- can see what on place w use of corn - guess i just answered for corn too

Reason i took cam off a couple or most fields - i hav some older deer that never hav liked them - some bucks i hunt do not

And i serious as heck calling some of yalls deer retarded! Just an Example. Shot a stud 10 last year at last light - also had a much bettr deer that travelled with him often - he was a no show that day. Was months before i ever got him back in camera and never once even close to daylight and that was when i had cams on fields. And my 2 best this year vanished once rifle season got here and i never hunted 🤣🤣🤣

And who cares if you like corn or cams besides nobody!! 🤣🤣

I am going to be very happy with either - i was when we did not hav either! Good Lord gave me the opportunity to hunt today in the greatest state out here! Thank you!!

You either shoot it or you dont - thats your call! I will be happy for you either way! Hinting supposed to be fun! I am all in!!

I do wish i could get a dang correct wind for where i want to hunt and some dry so i can get to it 🤣🤣. Sometimes that takes weeks - and i missed most of the season already anyway 🤣🤣 But i blessed either way. Patience never my strong suit 😀

And for me - the way my place sets up - with any N wind - i am only going to hav one spot to choose - with south i hav 2 but one will be more perfect than other cause one is more east

My point for my place - the wind dictates where i go - period

and NNW is absolute turd cause no spot really good w that - hey thats what we got today 🤣🤣

and on my new spot and sucky wilcox county spot - northern wind only. So for me - it wind that directs me - not a camera or corn and most of my cam fields gone this year anyway

Just to try to hav fun 😀

I went back to hunting old school. No corn and no cameras. Setting up between food sources and bedding. Creek crossings, clear cuts and historical trails. Only had a couple of hunts I didn’t see deer. Won’t be long it’s going to be time to start looking for those faint side trails with the several sets of bigger tracks on them and start hunting that. That’s the trail those roaming bucks use. It’s more fun going back to my old ways of hunting. Staring at a corn pile gets boring. And trail cameras has almost costed me my whole season chasing one buck. I’m done with that.

I shot a doe earlier this season on a cut cornfield that had a feeder on it.

Is that considered baiting?
