Who would support a two buck limit? One buck must be 8 point or better. Personally a one buck limit would be fine with me!

Nope. I’d support taking the February days from north AL, eliminate the “pay to break the law tax” on feeding and outlaw cell cameras. So ppl could keep the 3 buck limit, keep baiting if they so chose to, but not have real time surveillance on their property. That would eliminate a lot of bucks getting killed.

I’m indifferent to the two. The corn and 3 limit seems to be helping in my opinion. Although someone will make an argument against all of it. I haven’t shot a buck in two years. I looked at my trophy box of horn mounts and noticed all were about the same size in horns. I told myself I wouldn’t shoot one like that again. Does will eat and I’ll let the bucks walk for as long as they can.

It be's that way sometimes.

I would support a two buck limit but without antler restrictions

Silly to do that down there with the number of deer in the population.

Nope. And I haven’t killed 3 bucks a year in a long time. Most years I don’t kill 3 deer total

I went to academy yesterday to get a buddy of mine a camera for a Christmas present. They only had cell cameras. Blew my mind

I wouldn’t support a two buck limit until they showed that they could enforce the 3 limit that’s already on the books and see what that looks like……Way too many folks not compliant right now…..Lowering the limit doesn’t change that.......You need a tag system before even thinking about lower buck limits

Folks that know don't shoot old does........ wink

Agree. As we all know, game check is unreliable for gathering data.

There is no doubt that banning cell cams would greatly reduce the number of big bucks killed. The only problem with doing that is I pretty much enjoy looking at my cell cams pics as much as I do hunting. Top 3 things i do every morning

1.take a piss
2.make a cup of coffee
3. Scroll my trail cam pics.

Some big bucks are getting killed cause they got their pic took an da hunter could drive down and hunt him. They wouldn’t have gone otherwise without getting them that pic

My opinion it’s hurting hunting general. Gotta have the package to deer hunt just like gotta have the package to hunt everything these days.

Used to we just went hunting and hoped for the best and had to deal wither elements. That was part of the process and story. Now it’s yada yada and turn the heater on and watch videos on my phones til I knew it was time for him to come out.

I mean look at these underground homes/blinds these days. Theres no toughing it out

We’re good at a 3 buck limit. Going ton2 won’t increase our bucks scores. Habitat and nutrition is still the limiting factor age is a smaller portion of that equation.

No.

And I haven't shot more than one buck a year in Alabama in 14 years. Never killed more than four in a season since I started hunting in the early eighties.

Here is how a good many people hunt these days and im not throwing rocks because I have done so myself.

1. Find spot put out corn
2. Put out cell cam
3. Wait for good buck to show(in daylight if you’re smart.)
4. Hunt and kill good buck
5. Post kill on facebook and multiple other sites so you can get your ego stroked by a bunch of folks you don’t even know.
6. Rinse and repeat.

Im seriously thinking about next season no corn or cameras for me. Just be surprised at whatever comes by. Like the good ol days.

I know the solution…the state can sell a cell camera privilege license

Follow the state regs, if you want more stringent rules then you can put them in place.

We have some folks on here that want Mr Green Jeans to sit with you every time you walk in the woods.

The three buck limit is 99% unenforceable, so how would a two buck limit help?

Old bucks are bad disease vectors. Also raising young hunters in a antler restricted environment is a drag. Older hunters seem to have forgotten their roots.

And finally, coddled bucks aren't trophies.

I’m sure that cell cameras help kill deer, but for our club they have really helped us kill the right deer. I will say that the cell camera has greatly increased pressure on our club.

Bad combo right here “pay to break the law tax” on feeding and outlaw cell cameras. I have 2 deer on the hit list and one of them hasnt daylighted since september. I could have killed both of them today because of a cell camera over corn. Have no idea why they showed up middle of the day where they showed up but it would have been as easy as driving in and shooting a paper target.
