So, what we notice most is what we buy most often. Groceries and gas are what common people would use to judge inflation. Gas is slowly coming down, thats a fact. Now groceries. Groceries are around 2.5× higher than they were pre covid. Think about this. It takes money to produce groceries. The first couple years of bidun, the cost of materials it took to produce groceries skyrocketed. It took longer than i thought for grocery prices to follow suit, but they did. I said for two years, "next year will be aweful". Well awefull is here. The cost of materials is going down slowly. Its liable to take several years for groceries to get anywhere close to what they were a few years ago. It might never happen. Everything from feed to fertilizer to parts for tractors is crazy high. That is what keeps grocery prices high. If those things drop slowly, which some are, groceries will follow suit but slower.
