I had carpal tunnel surgery on both hands last April and May. Do the therapy if it’s available. I’m still doing some of the exercises. Recovery is longer than I expected.

Well I made it through! I checked in at 8:30a at the Surgery Institute in Vestavia, its the Swaid building and got back home around 1:30p. My wife had to help me up the stairs from the garage because I was still gorked and really wabbly from the anesthesia! They gave me a walker with the 2 wheels that came in handy for me to get around yesterday as I got up and walked a few laps on my deck yesterday afternoon to just get things moving a bit. Nothing crazy but just for a couple of minutes. This morning I got up and made me a cup of coffee since I couldn't have anything yesterday morning and walked out to the deck without the walker to enjoy the coffee and had a smoke. The 45 degree air felt really good to me since I was in a pair of shorts and a t-shirt,seriously.
They gave me a pain block for the knee but I can tell its starting to wear off here at 10:45a on Wednesday. I've made it around the house by hobbling and limping around without the walker this morning but will still have it handy by me if needed. I go back on Thursday to have the bandages removed and let the PT gal or guy do some stretching on it. If y'all hear someone yelling and screaming if your driving on Montgomery Hwy, it's just me, lol...keep driving. I think Dr Bramlett said that I would get the staples out in about 2 weeks.
For y'all that have had this done, how long did you take off from work to recover?
I really do appreciate all of your prayers and comments, it means a lot to me!
