Took my dog with me to recheck my sons rifle at our shooting range and he ran off. Finally about 2 hours later he popped up and came back.
I didn't enjoy that feeling whatsoever and want to know which ones u guys use ..
Georgia Football..Acts like Bama but has a trophy case like South Carolina.

Are you just wanting something to keep up with him? If so the garmin astro 220-320 will work fine for that and there fairly cheap now days for what they are. It’ll just track and tell you where he is, and you can also use the handheld for yourself hunting as well.

Start blowing a whistle around him every time you feed and he'll associate sound with you and good things and he will learn to come at whistle. You can put one on truck key ring and always be handy. I train all my hounds to whistle, truck horn and tone on my tracking collar. I can turn them loose and walk direction I want them to hunt and blow whistle and they will come right to me. Deer dogs blow off tailgate straight. So I use whistle command to steer them.
