Damn... Prayers for a speedy recovery. Glad you made it out alive.

Stuff like this is why I am much more careful when I am doing projects, working on ladders, off-roading on my motorcycle or Jeep, hiking, climbing, etc... I try to think of the things that can go wrong and engineer out the problem.

I heard about this last week when it happened, from my daughter, she was one of your nurses in the ER. Glad you are going to be ok. On a more serious note, I will donate my time to watch after your turkeys this spring…😂. Praying for a speedy recovery!

Glad you're gonna be OK Squeak , it's mighty easy to get hurt out in the woods . Y'all be careful out there!

That could have been a LOT worse and I'm glad that it wasn't. Wishing you a speedy recovery with no setbacks nor lasting effects.

Wow, that's about right for a lot of us. No hand rails, doors not opening well, some ladders almost straight up, nothing to hold once you get up --- I've come close several times, especially my short self, big rubber boots, lots of clothes on, gun, pack, etc. ---- Just lean back a little too far.

Glad you're ok, though, that's a great thing it wasn't worse and nothing impaled you.

Take something for pain that first week being putting demand on that leg whether youre hurting or not because you will. I hope you have a fast recovery buddy
in reference to taking pain meds.... if you can tolerate it try to get something with an anti-inflammatory in it. yes the good pain meds work but it is the actual inflammation that causes most of the issue... swelling leads to pain, pain leads to pain meds, meds mask the pain and swelling is still there therefor when pain meds ware off pain is still there

The pain sucks but I have a pretty high pain tolerance. My hamstring and quad muscle is mostly the source of my pain along with my knee. I have hardware attached to it. For the most part Ketorolac 10mg is keeping things bearable. I have some Oxy 5mg but only take it when doing PT. My therapist recommended I take something this first week of treatment to help with the pain he’s going to inflict on me.

Get well soon. Remember the morning I fell. When that ladder kicked off the tree, it was like slow motion.
