That's the key question. If it's your road and yours alone, then put a gate on it and lock it. Whoever else wants to use it will have to ask you then. I've let loggers use my roads many times, but they always had to ask because of the locked gate. You had better deal with the timber buyer, whoever that is. Once the loggers have access, they will do whatever they want to do to get the wood out.

There is no gate on the road. It's on the To-Do list, with the steel at the barn to build a gate for it and 4 others. No one uses the road (legally) but me and my family. I haven't made gating this road a priority because a 2024 tornado dropped a large tree across the road just off the pavement. I put a camera on it yesterday and will post it this evening. I'm going to put a cable across it this weekend until I can get the gate built.
