I don't know either.
What I do is add stuff to my Amazon Wish List that I am probably going to buy anyway, send them a link to it, and see if any of them pick it up.

Never met a 22lr or shotgun shell I didn't like. Fireworks are also hard to mess up. I suggest these first because it's stuff I'll enjoy and won't take up space for years to come. Guided fishing trips and bird hunts don't take up space.
Bass pro and palmetto state armory have wish lists. They're nowhere near as smooth as Amazon. I went on my wife's eBay and hearted a bunch of stuff. I'm not allowed on there this time of year and apparently there's an oddly shaped package coming she's nervous about. So, it looks like I'll be campaigning a new to me vintage recurve or longbow next season.

I always tell them I don’t want anything to save their money, but that never works so this year I gave them three items. Outdoor thermometer-$5.00 Meat thermometer- $9.00 Pocket knife- $27.00
I told them to pool their money and split it so they only spend about $13.00-$14.00 each. Like most men, if I want something, i just go get it.

I know most of us, especially as we get older, like to tell our family we don't need/want anything. But, keep in mind a lot of people get true joy and feel blessed from giving to others. Assuming it's not putting them in financial hardship or anything, don't make it difficult for them. Give them some simple ideas and then show appreciation, let them be blessed from giving if that's what they want to do.

What do you guys tell your kids you want for Christmas when they ask? Especially when you have everything you want or you can buy own your own? I really don’t know… Quit thinking in terms of material things so much. Maybe what you would really enjoy is more quality time spent together making memories. Traveling adventures, weekend hunting/fishing trips, etc. Or maybe you need help doing a big project around the house. Gifts don't have to be something from a store. Or gift cards to stores you do go buy things yourself from so you can choose what and when you get something. The answers, of course, would depend on the age of your kids and their financial situation.

I just want time with my son and his family since I'm on the short end of that BUT as far as a gift, I told them a nice long sleeve shirt.

Cant go wrong with a good flannel shirt.... The only thing worse than a flannel shirt is a flannel shirt with quilted lining. We literally had to have an intervention to get my mom to stop buying them for Christmas presents.

The left lane is for the the purpose of moving the flow of traffic forward regardless of the speed limit. If your impeding the flow of traffic get your ass in the right lane. It's really that simple...

My first suppressor is in route and some loading stuff and whatever my wife is getting me. I told her I need nothing yet she’ll buy a bunch of stuff. I’ll get her some stuff but mostly gift cards.

I have repeatedly said I don't want for nothing. And it's True. I continue to get things I don't need or want or will ever use. If you have to get me something, cash. I can use it how I need.
But Christmas giving should be for kids. When you're older the getting is less important than the giving. I could go all day Christmas and not get a single gift and be perfectly ok. But I love watching the children enjoy the day.
And I'm so blessed to have a grown son and get to do it all over again with my 7yo adopted daughter. I can tell she's putting things together about Santa. It's short lived. But I've enjoyed the hell out of it.
I have a good friend who was Santa for my son 25 years ago. He's also Santa for my daughter. Some of my favorite Christmas memories come from his visits. AND, when behavior is bad, he's a phone call away.
Character is not developed in moments of temptation and trial. That is when it is intended to be used.

Have no need for anything material. If I want or need something, I just get it throughout the year. I just look forward most of all to be with my family and to enjoy our time with one another.

I ask for the most expensive, precious thing that either of them can give me. I ask for their time. My son is in Med School but we watched Alabama get whooped at basketball Saturday night after we had dinner. We laughed caught up on personal stuff and some school stuff too. Just whatever he mentioned, I asked for details.
My daughter is in her Junior year at UA and she asked me tonight what I wanted to do on "Our" day. I told her we would do the new mini-golf in Tuscaloosa, eat in a good restaurant that evening and her Mom and I would stay the night in a decent hotel downtown so we could catch breakfast with her before we made our way home.
They both usually write me a card or note. Sometimes I laugh and sometimes my eyes leak a bit. I cherish this every year.
When we visit them in their towns (Bham and Ttown), we go to their church and I get to sit there and shower my thanks on God. So in a way, I give Him the same gift.
I even give this gift to my Mom every year. I send my daughter to gather her and they go on a sponsored (Haha) all day shop, eat, and movie trip.
Thanks to the OP for reminding me. I'll get a head start on my Thanksgiving tonight. God bless.
O God, you are my God; early will I seek you. Psalm 63:1
